Melanie Wilkinson, Registered Nutritionist and Neuroscientist, working with leaders and healthcare teams to improve wellbeing and performance.

I help leaders, healthcare teams and organisations optimise health, performance, and wellbeing through science-led nutrition and neuroscience-based strategies.

Melanie Wilkinson is a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr), Registered Nutritional Therapist (BANT), and Neuroscientist (MSc) specialising in evidence-led nutrition, brain health, and performance science. She works at the intersection of health, leadership, and human behaviour - helping individuals and organisations translate cutting-edge science into practical, sustainable outcomes.

My work bridges nutrition science and neuroscience to help people think, lead, and live better. I combine clinical insight, behavioural science, and practical strategy to design approaches that improve energy, focus, and resilience- not just for individuals, but across teams and leadership.

MY IMPACT

  • I work one-to-one with clients navigating complex health challenges, executives seeking performance edge, and athletes aiming for resilience. My approach combines clinical nutrition, neuroscience, and biomarker analysis to create personalised, lifestyle-aligned strategies that improve cognition, energy, and long-term health.

    Case Example:
A perimenopausal senior executive presenting with prediabetes and dyslipidaemia. Following a biomarker-informed nutrition and lifestyle intervention, outcomes included a 25% reduction in body mass, normalisation of fasting glucose, improved lipid ratios, and significant gains in energy and cognitive function.

  • I partner with executive teams and organisations to embed nutrition and neuroscience into leadership and wellbeing strategies. My work supports data-driven decision-making, enhances workforce resilience, and improves performance outcomes. This includes the design and evaluation of corporate health frameworks, workshops for senior teams, and long-term wellbeing strategy development.

    Case Example:
Worked with a global professional services firm to redesign its wellbeing strategy. Developed an evidence-based nutrition and performance programme for senior leaders, resulting in a reported increase in perceived energy, productivity, amongst other things.

  • I collaborate with health-tech companies and research partners to develop scalable, evidence-based solutions. This includes advising on product development, digital biomarker integration, and evaluation of behaviour-change technologies.

    Case Example:
Provided scientific advisory input to a health-tech start-up developing a personalised nutrition app to improve brain health. Supported algorithm refinement and evidence validation, leading to successful pilot funding and commercial partnership opportunities.

  • At a systems level, I contribute to initiatives that bridge research and public health practice. My policy work focuses on addressing health inequalities, translating scientific evidence into practical frameworks, and supporting advocacy for equitable access to nutrition and lifestyle interventions.

    Case Example:
Collaborated on a national initiative addressing diet-related health inequalities. Contributed to the development of an outcomes framework that guided perinatal nutrition programmes.
